Not at all. Evidently Randy's family views it as such IMHO and considering their religious and personal belief system, such as their memories reflect upon him being kind and an 'angel'- I can't fault them for wanting to 'protect' his legacy to the extent that they have almost silenced it. They aren't the first or only grieving family that would have no ill spoken of those departed. Im only trying to defend their perspective or what I perceive that to be, when compared to other artists that have left behind a _ lot more than Randy did.

Re: Bobs book??
... and considering that Randy probably didn't have the chance to record much more than what we have, I tend to believe that all that there is left to expand upon may be stuff like Randy dating Kevin's 'sloppy seconds' and other ish like that. I don't blame any mother for wanting to silence tha@t but Delores especially seems protective and willing to fight for what she believes in. As much as I love me some RR, I have to empathize with those running his estate and their wishes, whether I agree with them or not. I guess you could say that I'm playing devil's advocate... I would feel the exact same if somesone were selling photos of Randy's taint, I'm well aware that he had one.. I'm just not interested in all that TMI lol and i can see where his family is coming from...

Re: Bobs book??
I can care less about Randy condoms and crap like that. I want the stuff that matters. Dee talked a while ago of have notes of musical lessons and stuff she could release or audios of lessons, demos. Stuff of that nature. Ohhh and of course books like Bobs.
Re: Bobs book??
I'm with GEOrge. We live in the 21st century. You can clean up lessons, audio, video or pictures/scans of music staff paper. I just think IMHO Deloris is from another time and while she had probably thousands of people visit, even take lessons, It probably didn't click how important her son was musically during that time period.
I have a school mate, in 1980/81 I was in 7th grade we were both in this class for bad boys called self-contained and someone brought a tape/taped off the radio was IDK or CT and it blew our minds. Instantaneously. He went on to be able to play ANYTHING by 10th grade. It took him 2 weeks to get up to speed to play Yngwie. I spoke with him for 2 hours last night and I was jazzed all day. I had mainly 4 guitar heroes growing up. Randy, Eddie, Jimi (+Ritchie/Joe Walsh/Page) and Mike Stark (GEO knows him). At the end of the conversation I told him I wanted to interview him, next time like a guitar magazine. He was like, "Why?" So I started saying, "You know who influenced you and really I had heard stories (I didn't mention) about an old black guy teaching him the blues and attending Hochstein Music School in Rochester, NY (just blocks where Afterhours was filmed). He was a big Randy fan and had his posters all over his wall. I attended a few parties at his house and remember having a dispute with another dude about a chord in Dee. Now this guy plays a fretless guitar and it sounds like a slide. Let me tell you if you are facebook look him up. It is Mike Stark in Connecticut. I'll post a link. The point is of all the guitarists out there, he gives me that WHOA! Especially in this day and age. That the music seems different and new, like Randy did. He has studied and been to college and different schools and practiced 8 hours a day (another but probably true rumor) and it shows. I asked him about playing and electric w/distortion and he kind of blew it off because he had probably done it for years to fans that were waiting for a laser show or for the drums to fly around the room.

Re: Bobs book??
On Facebook Bob said that the book shouldn't be much longer. We could only hope.
Re: Bobs book??
Just saw this on FB. It was on a Randy group on there. Not sure if anyone seen it.
An update from Bob Daisley when I asked him about his book:
"Hi Lc,
I know that it's taking a while but hopefully it won't be too much longer. I've been editing and fine tuning it all, I want it to be as good as possible. It's a bigger-than-average book, more like a book and a half, it took me months just to go through all the photos, there are literally hundreds. Be patient, it's coming...Cheers mate,
Bob."

Re: Bobs book??
From Delores Rhoads
Ozzy was not the easiest person to work with because he drank a lot, and then he would get upset. He’d take it out on Randy. Actually, Randy did all of the writing. He really worked hard. He wrote all of the music – I don’t care what anybody says!
