I can understand any fanatic wanting to hear something new. But it's the way it is being sold. It's like putting a free gift in with the music but its the free gift you want more. I mentioned something similar when Kelle did his drunking rant vid. He was so quick to plug himself and his work. Another thing i noticed in the Classic Rock mag was the small footnote at the end. Rudy Sarzo getting a free advert on his book which is now 6 years old. I can imagine Rudy saying to Mick Wall i'll let you use some snippets from my book if you give it a plugg. How sad tut tut never mind!!. Overall it wasn't a bad article but any fan knows about Kelle's Cd's and Kathy's winery and Rudy's book. Flogg the dead horse and don't forget the tipp on the way out.Geo Sav wrote:The guitar solo doesn't bother me. We want to hear things he did that we haven't heard. I wanna hear demos out takes ect... the wine I didn't understand.

I'll tip the dead horse instead. I hope that Dee makes note to ensure the name and likeness fall into the right hands. Even in her 90's- she doesn't strike me as weak, and even if she's considered to have an iron-grip on Randy's legacy, at least it isn't being pimped out as badly as what it could be, IMHO.

Yeah that iron gripp will be useless when she's gone.. bless her. I can see a big change happening i bet Musonia turns into a RR museum and it wont be free to get in. His guitars and all his gear will be part of the tour. Randy's bedroom which is a sacred shrine to Dee. That'll be another place to visit, i just can see the rest of the family waiting to cash in. They've done it with so much stuff being copied i.e les paul, his signature amp head and cabs etc. It's money waiting to be pocketed, i hope i'm wrong and if the signs are not there i must be going loco. I wonder where $haron and the O's stand with Randy's legacy. They must have something in a writing contract and does this cover the sibblings of Dee to carry it on ?.RRFan4Ever wrote:I'll tip the dead horse instead. Re: Classic Rock Magazine- Randy Rhoads
A museum is too hopeful! How does an entire family that taught music, played or play music for a living, not had studied their son's/brother's work? I heard Dee couldn't understand where Randy was coming from? How is that? Look, the Rhoads are Royalty, in my eyes. That means they are dysfunctional and acting in their own self-interests but Randy is their claim to fame. I hate to say it but Randy wine is akin to Billy Beer! Sorry, I'm a bit pissed. I wanna go sing a song and I forgot my point!

A bit pissed Joe nothing wrong there... it's just harder to do the typing thing. Well the museum was mentioned in the past. I just think alot of the rooms in Musonia are empty and it would make sense. It's the lock that Dee has on her son, it's not wrong for her to still have that protective shrowd over him. For all the fans that visit Musonia it is like a pilgrimage to some. A big percentage of them never got to see Randy in concert. So it is a kind of connection to visit the places he frequented i.e his teaching room and his moms house etc. Look at Kathy's winery when they decided to put some of Randy's QR stage clothes on display. It creates a buzz for the fans and it oozes the appeal to have a museum. Maybe not in Delores's time. But i can honestly see changes in the future, which the fans will benefit from aswell as the family.

That would be so cool to see if Randy's room is a mess or not.GUITARIDOL5682 wrote:A bit pissed Joe nothing wrong there... it's just harder to do the typing thing. Not that that isn't weird why I want to know that.

Can you imagine how much dust would build up in a room after 30 years?

I'm pretty sure that Dee goes in there to ensure that things are in order, I actually commend her for locking it down like she did. I think she knew that there are some wackos out there that would try some dumb ish to either make some bucks or get closer to Randy. And wasn't the bronze name plate stolen from his first masoleum? Some people will stop at nothing.

And there you have it, the article in its entirety. If I have infringed copyright, feel free to delete it..........after a few days so other fans can have a free viewing to decide if they want to purchase the magazine.
I found it avid reading about his family life..............the other stuff is pretty much common knowledge..........but I didn't know he was a train collector.

I'm surprised Sharon didn't try and get this article changed, or maybe she did, who knows.
