So, I was watching this interview with Zakk and it struck me that he's always playing fast!
Could any of you point me to a Zakk solo or two where he plays slow? I know he's got some mellower songs, but I'm looking for a solo with less than 10,000 notes in it...

Thanks Alex. When I was typing that post I was thinking, "I'll bet Alex responds to this thread first..." I always appreciate your input.

LOL! Zakk did a 10 minute guitar solo the last time I saw him on stage. I had enough time to go to the restroom and buy a hot dog and he was still playing. I was sure his guitar was starting to smoke...Paul Wolfe wrote:but I'm looking for a solo with less than 10,000 notes in it...

Re: Playing Slow
I always thought the first part of the no more tears solo was his best. It was slow and had great mood. Mama i'm coming home had a slow solo. Again, that was one of his best.
On his album Shot To Hell there is a song called "THE LAST GOODBYE" it has a really good solo. Slower tempo'd and solid. Check that one out.

No More Tears is pretty slow, even the faster 2nd part
