Crowds Reaction

Post by Axeman1956 »

Heard that people were flipping Gillis off after Randy died lol. Man, that must of sucked alot for him and the crowd. He was good, but still didn't get respect for attempting to play Randy's stuff.

I think Jake E. Lee endured a lot of that also.

People can say what they want.. but i really enjoy Speak Of The Devil.

Jake E. Lee plays circles around Brad Gillis. Brad Gillis uses waaay too much whammy bar. He just did not fit well with the fans. I think Jake e Lee was a much stronger guitar player

I wouldn't compare say Jake does circles around Gillis. Jake is better, but not like Gillis is nothing.

Brad didn't really get too good a chance to learn Randy's solos. He just kinda got thrown out there. Jake was a little more trained also, knowing scales and modes and whatnot. I really like the Speak Of The Devil album, it's a different take on some of the Sabbath stuff.... I have to admit that Brad does get a little "wanky" on some of the solos

The thing I like most about Brad on SOTD is his guitar tone, it just killed on that record!!! Brad is a cool guy to from all accounts and he handled an extremely difficult gig very well.

Yeh Bernie,Brad and Jake took a beating for filling in for Randy. I remeber a bunch of my friends including myself not going to see Ozzy when he came right after Randy died. But I think they all did their best. I think the fans lightened up on Zakk cause of the time passing and Zakk always repected Randy and spoke highly of Randy.
