+1
I ama sure that 'Ozzy & Co' will be looking through all they have woth a view to capitalising on it over many years! Ozzy is getting old and he won't be able to record or tour forever!
What better way to make his income keep on rolling than to release outtakes, demo's, live shows, unreleased tracks etc! in a stream over many years?
After all he has an archive of Jake E Lee to draw on as well so these releases could go on for another decade.

They won't touch Jake E Lee with a ten foot pole. They've banished him to "don't exist" land (for baffling unknown reasons...they're no reason for that) and won't feature a product with him on it, it will be an Ozzy only product. Any product he's in he'll be appearing in will just be strictly because he played in that era. I had spoke with someone close to the Ozzy camp about a year ago and they said they won't even mention the guy's name and if YOU do, they'll instantly change the subject. Why? I have no idea.

Agreed..

On the scream tour when ozzy introduced Gus G. to the crowd he said.. "I've had some great guitar players in my career.. guys like. Tony Iommi.. Randy Rhoads.. Zakk Wylde.. Now meet Mr. Gus G." well.. that leaves Jake as the ONLY recording guitarist Ozzy has ever had that he failed to mention.

really.. he did not in Nashville. I'm glad to hear that. Jake's an awesome player and deserves credit for his work.

Ozzy did not mention Jake E. Lee at the show he played at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Feb. 1, 2011 either

he must've slipped. lol.
Really too bad too what they've done to Jake, its a shame.
It would be a really cool thing to do one of the shows without Gus and feature Jake on guitar for one night only. They should do that....but they never will.

Not to be a jerk, but what do you think folks have been discussing for the past 19 pages and three weeks?
Thanks for the post anyway...

Well I have not followed this for a few days but the big slap around my face is that this box set does not list the Southampton 1980 show in its contents! the first box set featured (the one that was taken down) did include the it though!!!!

What is the story there? have the seperate Diary & blizzard releases got Southampton with them now? because one thing is certain they went to the trouble of getting those discs ready to photograph but between then and now the contents have changed?

Now I am pissed off!!! or at best I feel :?
Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

Well, why would they release everything at once, when they can do a mega-edition in a few months that includes that, that we will pay 150 for again? Sharon has to milk Randy, Ozzy, and the fans for all we are worth.

Very odd they would bother having a disc printed up with Southampton on it, include it in a shoot for advertising, then pull it suddenly.
Also, the discs from the original picture had the Ozzy logo on the top, and either CD or DVD on the lower half, with the title.
The discs now have the track listings on the lower half instead.
It is obvious at some point, Southampton was indeed planned. Why it got yanked is a disappointing mystery.
Not to quibble or complain, but there is already an official release with the Sarzo/ Aldridge lineup on Tribute.
Speaking of which, not 'til someone pointed out earlier did I realize next year is the 25th for the Tribute album.
It does make you wonder...

It was only really Southampton that excited me if I am honest :( I can take the video or leave it becausde I have decided to believe it when I see it etc!
I hope like the thread has gone , that Ozzy will be releasing to mark the 30th of 'Diary' , but to add 'Southampton' a future diary package makes no sense because although it included Bob and Lee it wasn't until May 1983 that Bob got to play any 'Diary' tracks live with Ozzy.
The sensible release for diary is with 'Blizzard' and the likey live show that will be included is 'Montreal' and even though it is a great show, we have heard it!
Southampton was speacial and new, it is a pro recorded live show with Bob and Lee and although that is in no way my favorite line up it would have been amazing to hear a whole pro recorded show. :|

Or it could be that for the usa release they are planning the live show as the us live show and the uk version might get southampton.
Theres a reason why they would print them for the photoshoot.

Thats why im holding back and not ordering it from the usa at the moment as i think the uk version my be a little different. we'll have to wait and see.
