 YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER than I Assumed we would get!!!!!!!!! Its a Shame that we wont get those Extended Mixes :x
But GEORGE MARINO is in Control of the ReMasters.....Then WE ARE IN LUCK!!!!!!
He is The Name of ALL Names that we would want to be in charge of this "ReMastering" Process!!! That Alone Just Made my Week!!!!!
Just Look at some Classic albums you may own from the 70's -Now & His Name is Guarenteed to be on at least a few of them.Mastering is So Imporntant & is a Very,Very,Very Subtle Art that Untrained ears wouldnt even Notice, but it can make
All The Difference in the World,so to hear that hes the one ReMastering the Original Master Reels has me smiling Ear to Ear!!!!!!!!!!

Then The Footage!!!!!!!!
Im reall excited about the Documentary....And I guess a A++++ Quality of AfterHours, the ET Footage Cleaned up!!! W/the Bonus material...OTM Solo ect..ect..
will be Great, its really like "The Osbournes 82" where Ozzy to Sharon is like "(9 O'clock in the Morning" is Hillarious..there is Prob some good footage from that Shoot that was edited out,I Dunno if that was Recorded Before or After the tour began, but it is possible that they mabey talked to Randy about his Award/Awards??? And then......the GRAIL!!!!!!

NY PALLADIUM 5-2-81 Pro-Shot!!!!! I Knew it,I Knew it,I KNEW IT!!!!
That show (Ozzys Big US Debuet) Soild-Out Months in Advance & a Double Set/Bill
It seems like a Very Logical & Historic Event in the Solo Career of Ozzy Not to have been Filmed for Prosperity,& for almost a year now,Ive said in Countless posts that I figured whhen she said "Two Shows" That it was the Two Shows from the Palladium as they played Two Sets & why film just one when youve got the whole Crew there & everything.......I Just thought that sounded reasonable & Logical iit be NY Palladium,Ozzy said "I Think its Very Early in the BOO US Tour ,NY I Think" And Zakk saying "it looks like a rehearsal, but it IS Live" I hope its more than One Camera, but One is Way Better than None!!

""interviews; included is the premiere of more than 30 minutes of newly-discovered never-bootlegged footage of Ozzy and Randy from the Blizzard of Ozz tour shot from the front of the stage at New York's fabled Palladium on May 2, 1981.
"""
I Think its safe to say,the Quote about NON-BOOTLEGGED is just that to Confirm that its the same show, but not the same Bootlegged Footage weve all seen its Professional Footage.I Cant wait to see where its from (the Camera angle) because Ive watched the Palladium footage countless times looking for another Camera in the Crowd or in front of or on the side of the Stage.

NYC 1981 shot from in front of the stage? Never bootlegged? Or never made money off it? I think you guys are headed for a heartbreak. It might be the 1st gen. I'm happy that there is hope of new Randy stuff but the way it comes in and then disappears like the diary bonus is BS. Those that have already said "they won't be disappointed' haven't yet spent the money to find out how little new Randy in this KEEP RANDY"S LEGACY ALIVE by selling you something you already have + a snippet of Randy + a book of Ozzy pics + Ozzy cross + Ozzy posters (Hopefully of the rain era - Please, please!) and maybe Ozzy outtakes drunk in the studio yelling at Randy. Right and a 2CD bonus of Gus G playing over Randy with Ozzy & Gus G poster.

This box set is to celebrate the talent of one man who dedicated his life to music and gave us some of the most exciting moments in rock - Ozzy Osbourne. Osbourne recruited a talentless nobody named Randy Rhoads and put him through heavy metal training, showing him sinister guitar licks and how to write music. Rhoads was merely a vessel of Osbourne's great talent and music dedication and Rhoads owes Osbourne for making him a rock legend. Not the other way around? That who this box set is about - Ozzy. WHY ISN'T THERE A BIG PICTURE OF RANDY ON THE COVER OF THE BOX SET?

whoa, calm down there, killer. It doesn't say "PRO-shot" anywhere. It says "previously unseen, never bootlegged". Meaning it could be awful bootleg garbage to something more towards a 'pro-shot' type. No one knows yet. We'll have to wait on word.

There is a 70 minute interview/discussion type-thing with some snippets mixed in (almost surely After Hours type stuff....and not the whole thing....just snippets).
The additional material is this "30-minute" Palladium thing that supposedly has never been seen before and i think we're all waiting word on whether its a pro-type-shot material or bootleg. My guess is that its bootleg, but we'll have to wait until we see what they say in the forthcoming days.
but it clearly states that there are interview etc and that the DVD ALSO CONTAINS OVER 70min "ADDITIONAL" rare live performance....so to me that means on top of the doco so the DVD is 100mins including the interviews....anyone else read it like that??

This new “Thirty Years After The Blizzard”DVD chronicles Ozzy's years with Randy Rhoads features previously unseen footage of Ozzy and Randy filmed in 1981 & 1982; it incorporates rare archival photos and films; along with new and revelatory interviews with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Lemmy (Motörhead), Steve Vai, Nikki Sixx, Rob Halford, Zakk Wylde, Bill Ward and more. The DVD also contains over 70 minutes of additional rare live performancesand interviews; included is the premiere of more than 30 minutes of newly-discovered never-bootlegged footage of Ozzy and Randy from the Blizzard of Ozz tour shot from the front of the stage at New York's fabled Palladium on May 2, 1981.

you're reading too much into it. You're making a 70 min DVD into a 100 min one. I wouldn't expect anything over the Palladium thing to be anything more than snippets scattered into the interviews.

Ist up if you remember my conversations on email with bill shelley he supplied sharon and ozzy with footage, so its more than likely to be from his archives. 2nd ozzy wouldnt put out poor quality footage that would be a detriment to his name and zakk would have said if it was poor stuff but he didnt.
the reason theres no picture of randy on the cover is its not all about randy, its a celebration of 30 years of one of the greatest albums ever released, ozzy has added the polka dots to the box out of respect you can see this in the picture os the box set.

dont forget there was 4 people on that album who made it special not just randy.

We should be celebrating the fact that these great albums are being put back as they are and with all the extras stuff we finally get to see randy in a live situation which is not 10th generation and all blown out.

I have sent emails back to bill shelley to find out more but have had no reply back.

Maybe weareagle can contact him to fine out more.

But come on guys lets be happy its finally on its way.

In my mind I'm picturing the Palladium footage to be like like the screens we saw from TAB of the AZ footage. If that were the case I think we are in for a real treat. But that's purely the picture I have in my mind.

"previously unseen, never bootlegged", if it were taken literally would mean just that, it's unreleased footage, which hasn't done the rounds in bootleg circles. Like what Halo said, it doesn't explicitly say that it's either Professionally filmed or Amateur shot. My opinion is that this will only be a single cam shot whether it's pro or amateur.

Either way I'm very excited like everyone here about what will be in this release!!!

I'm with Jazz on this...what is coming is more than we have now.
1. The albums restored (The most important part)
2. A 100 page book (That's geared toward Rhoads era Ozzy)
3. A 70 minute documentary (about the first album)

1. Can we go to the store and buy those two albums in their original state? No, so that's more than we got right now.

2. How many official books are there in existence whose subject is the Blizzard of Ozz band, Mach I?
Again, more than we have.

3. How many folks here have wanted to see a 'Classic Albums' episode of either album? Can we watch something like that right now? No.

Randy's name/picture isn't on the box, as the public at large doesn't know him. The binding of the box looks to be polka-dotted, which is an obvious nod. Ozzy is using his own name to help sell something put together for Randy.
I'm going to be quite happy to line up for this.
For those concerned about the footage, I am sure $haron is well aware of the power of the combination of word-of-mouth, and the internet. It will take one person to tell everyone what the box contains in terms of the true nature of the footage. Which in turn, will either drive sales through the fucking roof, or cause it to languish on the shelves and eventually be boxed up and sit in the vast warehouses of Sony.
They aren't about to release the first item in a quarter century dedicated to the man, and have it contain inferior product.
At the end of the day, it's a BOXED SET IN HONOR OF RANDY RHOADS!!!
People are finally being given something they've always wanted, and before they can see it, they're already complaining about what it hasn't got.
What. The. Fuck.:? :? :?

it's great they're releasing this yes....but knowing the DVD is what is what will interest people, IT IS bull**** that they're gouging people to have to go all the way to the expensive boxset.
I don't want the vinyl...or the book...or the ridiculously dumb "cross" replica.
I can't imagine these re-do's will do much with the general public as they've been re-releasd, remastered, remixed, repackaged multiple times already.
I hope they throw out a better press release or a trailer in the near future.

Hell, I paid almost $75 back in the day for a Japanese tribute book that I can't even read, so I'd spend the $150 just for the coffee table book! I'm STOKED!
