Not GOOD News on the rereleased Blizzard & Diary

When I have done an exam in the past or something similar that can go either way; I do a contradictory thing! I try my absolute best and focus on success; but at the same time I am prepared for the worst too! After all life can be unpredictable.

So with the RR stuff, I have a similar stance. I would love to see some new stuff and think putting enthusiastic pressure on someone like Sharon is a good thing. At the same time though, we all have loads of Randy Rhoads boots, 2 Ozzy albums, a live album and an array of Quiet Riot stuff. Plus there are some great books like Rudy's book and Robert La Fond's Rhoads scholar book!

So it is not all darkness

Its a shame because it kills enthusiasm for new material. I've been on these boards for a while and these days i just don't get excited anymore, i hardly bother reading the posts about forthcoming releases. I think its the same for a lot of the longstanding members here. You get tired of chasing your tail, and think "fuck it, I've got better things to do".

I'm sure that myself and other members who feel the same would be thrilled to see a DVD, documentary etc.etc. but until someone actually sticks a real product in front of us and says "look a live one, gimme some $$$" we're not bothered.

Most of the news or rumors regarding RR releases turn out to be a dead end, and frankly a waste of time, reading, posting etc. I sadly bet many other fans feel the same these days.

I've stopped caring about anything Randy related being released about a year or so when the Doc info stopped coming out.

Randy will always be my favorite guitarist, but I've lost my hope for anything new to come out.

As said before, I'll believe it when I see it. =/

see the way i feel is when and if this stuff comes out, all the bs and infighting has already taken the excitement and steam out of the equation,we will be like is that what all the crap was about?in other words i think we are all so worried about delays what kind of footage etc,that when we finally see it all the negative crap will get in the way of us bieng able to truly enjoy it..i wish i could make more sense out of what i mean but im really tired of all the nonsense..in other words i could really give 2 shits anymore...not to spoil it for the eager fans im just pointing out how i feel about it thats all..

I usually stay out of all the doc/footage/new rerelease drama, but this comment just about sums it up for me. I've been a Randy fan since the first time I heard Crazy Train on the radio living in S. Florida in the late 70's. I play guitar today because of Randy Rhoads. I have watched, listened and hoped just like everyone else with regard to all the news of this being the year of Randy. As you can see, I don't post much. I've been mainly a lurker, just reading and taking in all the cool stuff that is available online both here at at TK. I am truly greatful for all the stuff that people have accumulated and shared on both of these sites.

While I will NEVER not be a fan of Randy Rhoads.. I'm honestly about to get to the point where I'd rather just look backward at all the cool stuff that IS out there and forget about all the "there's a documentary... Oh Wait.. No, there's not!" or the "Hey, there's new footage... Oh, but wait.. You'll never get to see it!" bullshit that we've had to endure for the last several years. Honestly, I'm getting sick of it. I won't comment about how Randy's legacy has been handled because until you walk a mile in the shoes... well, you know how that goes.

What I wil say is this. As has been mentioned many times before, there are but a handfull of regular posters on this forum. But what about all the people like me that are the mainly silent ones that don't voice their frustrations in public, but also live an die by the constant build up and let down that occurs with the Randy Rhoads legacy. I do understand that there are many people that control or have an interest in the stuff we would all love dearly to see and hear.. All I can think is that they all need to get together and figure out what the Hell they want to do before the people that want to see it finally say "Fuck it, I don't care any more" and there won't be a Randy Rhoads legacy to furthur because the people that used to care don't give a shit.

I apologize for the rant, but I just couldn't take it anymore and had to say my piece. And in the immoratal words of Forest Gump.. That's all I have to say about that.

Hello to everyone

I agree with most points raised here and with one specific one mentioned several times!

I have stopped being dissapointed because I have become used to dissapointment.

My earlier more outspoken comments are a reflection of my feelings as Admmin here and are based on the consideration I give to all the members, we have been let down many many many times. And due to the fact that we are independant and only look after the interestes of RR fans it is my duty to voice oppinions and best interests of the fans!
Should those closest to RR really make a hash of servicing his legacy we have no need to tread on egg shells.
We can be blunt and honest.

Yet again another promise has been spoiled but yes we can expect broken promises now, and again RR fans want video and audio not high priced items like guitars or statues OR alcohol! you can't push them into your CD/DVD player, items like those move his legacy no further forward! infact they make it easier to see that RR's legacy is sinking into oblivion.

Why the hell is Sharon having problems releasing songs that Ozzy made, and releasing footage of Randy? She's so f***in dumb. Now we're going to have to wait another year if Sharon gets her ways.
