Is this Long Beach from the Diary Tour? Oops, a Brad Show..
Hi guys,
I can confirm this is from the Diary tour from the set list and band performance, but does anyone own this? I got it off torrents @ 192kbps Mp3. It is a radio broadcast, and the audio is stellar, though Ozzy may have redone his vocal (par for the course for him). Any help would be appreciated in finding which concert this is.
At least the 3 bonus songs are in excellent sound quality...
Thanks

Does Ozzy mention the L.A Long Beach venue ? As alot of bootleggers have made other boots from shows which are not what they are listed as. Any clues to what Ozzy is saying inbetween tracks. I bought a Japanese CD a few months ago it was called Crazy Train - San Francisco CA 1982 i was thinking it was an Ozzy show with RR. It was the Irvine Meadows 1982 gig with Brad Gillis. The 'suicide solution' track with band jam should run for 14:57 in length. Ozzy introduces all the band at 6:35 before the band jam starts with Brads guitar solo. The artwork on your package showing Randy was to suck you in. I thought my CD was a rare show until i played it and found out it was common as... It will be the Irvine Meadows show as the track listing is the same. Do the tracks fade in and out on every song ?. Those bonus tracks came out in the early 80's on vinyl.

No mention of Randy. The announcer says it's from Los Angeles.

Dec. 31 1981 there was a New Year's Eve show scheduled at "Sports Arena, L.A." - which COULD be "Long Beach Arena," possibly.
The Feb. 19, 1982 show was at the San Antonio, TX Convention Center.
Nothing in CA, in February, to my knowledge.
There was a San Diego Sports Arena Show on Jan. 4th.

In Randy Perry's bootleg check list it mentions that Ozzy says this during the Sports Arena L.A. 31 Dec 1981 show. "This is Ronnie, say hello to Ronnie, I wanna hear you say hi to Ronnie! Listen, people think I'm crazy, that's because I f*cking am! Do you all want to go crazy with me! Are you sure you want to go crazy with me! OK, let's go CRAZY TRAIN! ". So if Ozzy mentions this it's a good indication its from this show. The track listing is longer on this show and it includes alot more tracks including "No Bone Movies" and this is not a soundboard / radio show.RhoadsRockPhotographer wrote:Dec. 31 1981 there was a New Year's Eve show scheduled at "Sports Arena, L.A." - which COULD be "Long Beach Arena," possibly

Hey Guys,
See pic below, this boot says: "Recorded live at "Long Beach Arena" LA. in february 1982"
The Date must be wrong, the line-up mentioned on the cover is correct, so not with Randy but Brad. The boot sounds excellent though. Brad did a good job!
PS: I remember long ago in a magazine they had a Randy special and also gave a list with recommended boots. And if I remember correctly they warned about "Captured Live" not containing Randy but Brad.

Yeah,if you look to the upper left,I (well actually my Brother) Got this on Vintl in the Mid 80s & it says RR but it in fact is Brad,What a Bum Out that was.
The Bootleg lables on the record are labled as Buddy Love Sings about Girls. And it has a bunch of silly track listings like one song called "Shes a Virgin"
But I believe its the same show, its listed as the LA Forum, but it doesnt have Radio intros,I dont think, havent listened to it in years being it wasnt Randy & I beat the hell out of it as I was just 5 or 6 when my Brother got it.

That album is what I was thinking as well. That says L.A. 1982 but is definitely Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, in Irvine, CA. The audio is ripped from the video "Speak of the Devil" which is the one aired on MTV,Halloween night 1982. It was recorded in June.
They got so much wrong on the bootleg album it almost had to have been on purpose
Album says w/RR Feb 1982 in L.A, has 2 pictures of Ozzy w/Jake on the back cover and a picture of Randy & Rudy in QR
The only part they got right was Ozzy and live

Not if your buying a boot LP from an uninformed/underhanded EBAY seller! The Flying Dutchman wrote:Isn't that enough!cableguyxx wrote:The only part they got right was Ozzy and live

On the vinyl version does Ozzy introduce the band, during the start of the band jam going into Brad's solo. Or has this been cut out to make people believe that they do have a RR Live show. I know to the trained ear i can hear the difference between RR and Brad Gillis.

There is a huge difference between Brad and Randy's playing..
Brad (for a fact) uses the trem alot..very noticeably ...
Alot different then how Randy did...
