I think everyone sort of is wetting their pants over the Korea-Argentina game. I think it's obvious that the team isn't really organized and is very frenetic. I think if you were to put them up against a team that actually had a strong defense, they'd falter. Germany, Brazil, and even Italy...they'd go down, fast.

The Mexico-France game was really shocking. Mexico has NEVER impressed me. France, I know, has sucked for the last few months. But I still thought France would win the game, 1-0. Wow, was I shocked! And pleased, LOL.

My own analogy of being an England fan is that it is like being with an abusive partner. Every time after a beating, you convince yourself they have changed. They go off to anger management and you tell yourself they would have improved...

but when push comes to shove and the pressure is on, you fear a beating is coming

absolute rip off. the refs were terrible in this and overall in the WC theyve been very good. they missed many calls, made many wrong calls, but most notably the goal in the 88th minute that should have been. there was an offside call, no one was offside, in fact bradley was being held by slovenja and should have been a free kick or if that wasnt called a goal. honest rip off in that game. they should have a review system for that. dont stop the game, but someone up in the booth to take a quick review while the game is going and when its kicked out make the call right or something. i hate to see a game changed by the refs... happens all the time in u.s. football

Both the USA and Slovenia's performances have been superior to England's and they are really up for it! They are hungry and passionate to do well.

Based on England's two games so far, they do not deserve to go through; they really don't. They are on £100000 plus a week and play like they did last night ): (against guys who are part time footballers in their country and have little money too!)

On their behalf I was ashamed at their lack of commitment and desire.

Yep! They have reached as first team the eight finales now. The match to be played thursday doesn't matter anymore. And they play borring enough to even become champion! Usually they play very attractive soccer but go home early. It seems Germany took over that role now!

I sit here at 4 in the morning and the score is 1-1 new Zealand italy. To put that into perspective, our players are not all professional players but have day jobs.

Today most people here have been laughing that the world champions had to cheat to beat the kiwis.

I think of it this way, the Italian team is worth $313,000,000 the kiwi team $19,000,000, their goal keeper alone commands more than our entire team and they had to cheat to win. I'm so proud of what our team has achieved!
