I remember when the trailer for the doc got leaked out and it turned into a crisis and people did get threatend with Court action etc for posting it up. That trailer was a great advert for the fans to go out and buy the doc nothing else. OK it had been released before the permission was giving from the original photographers etc. But it was just pure madness that it kicked up such a fuss for What ???. Then you hear how Bob and others have been tret. These guys are so important and key figures in RR's life. Bob could of told PM NO from the start and used all his photos and stories for his book and it would/ will be a total exclusive. I'm really looking forward to reading his book as i'm more of a fan of the early Blizzard line up. If it is anything like Garry Sharpe Young's book it should be excellent. I think this is one of the main reasons why Ozzy is releasing a Live show of Randy. Because he has probably tasted this mess and seen for hisself how fucked up the Dakota film has become. Why give PM the priviledge when Ozzy can do it and make money which after all it is his music aswell. Which he is totally entitled to do, it's just a pity that it has turned into such a long drawn out perlaver. I just hope that this Live show does see the light of day.

Why the hell does Peter have to act all "mysterious"???Ritchie wrote:
The following comments were made by Peter Margolis…
‘I interviewed 2 people in Australia.
One of them was one of the worst human beings that I have ever encountered in my years on this planet. The other was Scott Shelly, who was possibly the nicest person that I interviewed for the film.’
When asked if Bob and Lee were going to appear in the Randy Rhoads documentary Margolis wrote:
‘I interviewed both Lee and Bob.
Lee in England and Bob in Australia
Lee was a really great guy.
Does that answer your question?’
He was then asked..
‘Peter, I hope Bob wasn’t the other person you were talking about , when you stated that Scott Shelly was perhaps the nicest person you had ever met???????????????’
To which Margolis replied:
‘I met some of the greatest human beings while shooting this movie, and some of the worst.
People that don’t deserve to occupy space on the same planet that we all reside on.
That is all I will say on the subject until the film comes out.’
Is it really that hard to just outright say "Bob will not be in the movie, I think he's a terrible guy, blah blah blah"?

I agree, not just in this situation, but hundreds of other similar ones with RR (on and off the internet). So much cloak and dagger BS.Cryptic Night wrote:

After all 'freedom of speech' isn't only for those who agree, it's for everyone. I would like to add that releasing the material I have isn't as simple as just putting a 'price tag' on it. I would dearly love to be able to have the tapes released but there are many legal aspects to be considered. I'll do my best to try to make it happen though. Thanks to you all. Kind regards, Bob."

I have my doubts that the 'Holy Grail' will ever be available... As it is connected to Ozzy's music, but saying that. He was quick to remove Bob & Lee's parts on Blizzard etc. If this is recordings in the making without anything connected to Ozzy i.e lyrics and singing.. Then we do have to think about Randy's parts being used obviously with the Rhoads approval. So thinking like that they may say yes! and give it the thumbs up, it was totaly wrong to go messing with those albums in the first place.Ritchie wrote:Recently posted on Bobs' FB page :

These recordings are such a powerful weapon that I imagine they could really light up the industry and with the right support could get the support of all concerned. I imagin it will be tough if they resemble the recordin g and arangements we know and love but I don't think it is impossible to believe that peoples minds can't be changed? However hard the battles was/is between Bod/Lee and the O's remember how imposible it seemed to ever get the Sabbs back together! None of us thought we would see that happen and now it is just part of our Ozzy live experience.

Ultimately, this film will be seen by many members here because of the promise of footage. I will not see this film now because I refuse to support someone who has used the memory of one of my heroes to make a name for himself.
Peter Margolis started out with a great deal of promise. Unfortunately it appears ego has ruined this.

Well lets hope that Peter has his say as well because without it all we know is that almost everyone who we wish to hear from is out of the doc' and lots of those still in it didn't know Randy.whoopiecat wrote:There are three sides to every story, though...
They are the facts as we know them and without something from Peter we can either assume that all those that are/were unhappy have a personel right to have lost faith in the doc' or Peter himself is the person who has been let down by the large number of people who really knew RR?
I hope the film is released or at least somebody can come along take it over and re examine what has happened, what needs doing and how to move this on and keep RR's legend alive in the most respectful way, without playing the fans and giving due respect to all thiose concerned in the story and only those involved in the story.

I asked Bob about the Holy Grail (He has multiple versions of the Diary song!) and he said he's going to try to get it released. When? I don't know. He just said he's going to try and get it to come out as we need to hear these because it's apart of history (Or something to that affect)
He said he's got to go through the right channels to make it happen though. Including the Osbournes, Rhoads, and Sony. I would imagine that Lee Kerslake wouldn't have a problem about it, and Don Airey probably wouldn't have a problem with it for Bob didn't mention needing their approval for the release.

Did Bob & Lee need to go through any of the abovementioned to do the Living Loud project?
I can't see where Ozzy would have any say, if it is only Bob, Lee & Randy working out song ideas.
Ozzy didn't compose any of the music, (obviously), so if he didn't participate in these recordings at all, I'd guess he's out of the loop.
That being said, if he did have to give his permission for the LL album, I don't see why he'd stand in the way of this.
Not sure how Delores would feel about rough demos.
