Hi Fishychops baby

In my opinion the approval is not necessary if everything is legal. I am sure the Rhoads family all don't share have the same opinion on things anyway. What for arguments sake if Delores approves but Kathy doesn't?
Hell I am not sure if the Rhoads family know about the RRCD project, let along approve of it LOL...

However what was important to me and Mike Lowery was that ULCA 'approved' the money being donated to the scholarship fund, and those we valued in the RR community approved of it, by parting with their cash!

As weird as it may read, sometimes it is better to be non approved. UR was offered on two ocassiona I believe, to be approved, but for resaons of including wanting to be non partisan, choose to remain independant.)
(Ian could never flirt and discuss his sexual preferences if this board was approved LOL)

Sometimes non approval is ther better choice. LMAO at the irony of it all...(not rain on my wedding day irony either ;) )

Why is it a 'joke'? Kelly is trying to do something good with the money, what is wrong with that?

Not trying to fight, Ritchie, just trying to understand your point of view.

No problem .. i understand and appreciated that Kelly said about donating the gathered funds to help out kids with instruments .. it's a great idea in theory , the charging of a " membership" to raise these funds is not a great idea . The RRCD is a way better idea to raise $$$ and you get something for your money , we already have 2 RR forums that we can put up our music , videos etc for the best price of all . These days money is hard to come by for a lot of folk and there is nothing that will make that new site any more attractive than what we already have .

I don't expect people to agree with my views on it , to each their own and how they want to spend their money is totally up to them .. I just renewed a subscription to a major guitar magazine , it cost me $19 and for that i get 12 issues to hold in my hand and keep and collect , i consider it " value for money" .. if I was to sign up with the new RR website it would cost me $10 a month and i don't get anything for my hard earned dollars apart from a membership to a tiny little website that has nothing than what we already have .

the point is what is his site going to offer us that we dont get here? He may release a few things here and there, but once there on his "private forum" someone will just leak it out to the rest of the net anyway. He's a great guy but there should be no reason to charge people just because he is KG.

Well now, I see the topic of charging for a site has become somewhat spirited. And I can understand your point. But again, this is for a good cause. And I do promise to put things on there (which I already have) that no one has ever seen. The other thing is, this site is non partison. I'm not on anyones side. Things with Peter will work themselves out, a film WILL be released and I'm certainly not going to bash anyone, nor will it be allowed. Sometimes when you pay for something, you have alot more respect when you use the service. Free things are always subject to abuse. No one has anything to lose. And I'm not putting down this site or any other. BOTH sites have done a tremendous job of keeping Randy's flame lit. And I am grateful beyond words to both of them. I do believe in my cause because I did it for a kid once, and it felt so good. I am in the process of the paperwork for non profit organziation status. It takes a while and lots of phone calls. It's alot of work and time. Now on to who said that everything I post on there will be reposted on the other sites and so why should you pay. Well, I would first ask you "what have YOU done for anybody lately?" And secondly, I give you permission to come to my house and take what ever you want. The site could be a common ground for both sites that have been so divided over the years to come together on a peaceful field. And peace is good.

Question :? have you ever knew a person that was always along for the ride but never paid his way..cool guy but the freeload was to much so the guy gets left out now and then? that is what this reminds me of with the whine.

its simple if you want it free hang on the free site andwait for the leak but..some folks may not leak because then you are freeloading on them get it?

What gets me is some people think that the only fans of Randy Rhoads live on UR & TK if that is the fact then Randy has not many fans..I don't believe that ... do you? if you don't like the site then dont go!
it's almost like you think you are going to get left out because some things are not free ..thats life get use to it.

It's just my opinion free or not that sight blows any message board away.

The chat was really Nice some people got to ask questions about things they wanted to know about and Kelly answered. The show was slim and that is kind of weird since it was FREE about 10 people. It was short notice as kelly said next time it will be an advance notice.

Here is the kool part subscription price changed $5 a month and $60 a year Im going to subscribe ! I hope to see many kids get guitars great idea Kelly! Just so you know anyone can sign up on the site and make a profile ,mine is www.randyrhoads.us/Jack but some features will be for the subscriber. Its really up to you how far you want to go with it. I also learned they will be adding even more features to make the site enjoyable and interactive.

so to all of the folks on the boards who are posting it is 120.00 a year thats wrong . We should all support kellys site look how long he has supported these boards with info..its really a slap in the face if you dont.

The site has also made the news at Blabbermouth and other places very kool I wish you luck kelly!

I wanted to be part of that chat... however, my employer wanted me to work! Can you believe it?

Hopefully Kelly's site will do well, I really like the format. It's fresh and different.

At the same time nothing will replace UR for discussions.
