RE: Jody Kephart and Buyers of Zues 840 Amp on Ebay

Post by skezza »

I have received a statement from the family:
RE: Jody Kephart and Buyers of Zues 840 Amp on Ebay.

On behalf of the Rhoads Family, We would like to express our complete disgust and discontent with the seller as well as the buyer of such property.

I also would like to reiterate the fact that the Rhoads Family will hold anyone who attempts to sell or buy unlawfully taken property to the utmost ruling of the law according to 18 U.S.C. Section 2315 which reads:

Whoever receives, possesses, conceals, stores, barters, sells, or disposes of any goods, of the value of $5,000 or more, which have crossed a State or United States boundary after being stolen, unlawfully converted, or taken, knowing the same to have been stolen, unlawfully converted, or taken; Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

Nice work Joe, I hope that this will be applied in its fullest nice to see the Rhoads family here at UR again. I am sure after my last exchange with them and this present issue they know they will always have our support.

Note from Jody Kephart: Sorry to all about all about the Zeus 840. I took it off ebay and off the market. It was memobelia
that I had for 27 years. Kelly Rhoads said they weren't interested in getting Randy's lost gear. I just thought that whenever some memobelia like Bob Dylan or Jimi Hendrix's goes to auction at Christies or Soethebys it's ok and it's in the USA Today and everyone is glad to see it. So naturally I felt getting a piece of history like this on display for people to enjoy would be a good thing. I only had a reserve of 10,000 on it so it wasn't like I was out to gouge the world. Again sorry to all at UR. JK

$10,000 is gouging, dude. Especially for something you say you got for free.

Paul when I was given/handed the thing, I thought it was a Casio portable keyboard. It wasn't until I got home and opened it up that I saw what it was. It's actually in a Casio case. I was offered more than 10k several times.

you need to give it back to the rhoads family, it's the only right thing to do. they lost their son man, the least you could do is give them back his property.
