Alex!!

great call (I have stolen that saying 1 day ago and I LIKE IT!!!)
My recent movie I have loved is the Jason Statham movie 'The Bank Job".

Great movie, great script, gritty, real... and lots of surprises...and oh yeah the evil gits get a nice kicking near the end :)

Yes life without movies just wouldn't do! That being said, I recently went to the movie "Tropic Thunder" I laughed from the beginning to well past the end. Personally I thought it was a well needed comedy that decided to take a stab at how politically correct everything seems to try and be these days.. IMO, a classic already.
Oh bring me some CHUNKY PUDDING, and bring it RIGHT NOW!!!

I LOVED TROPIC THUNDER!

I have always really liked Robert Downey Jr. and I thought he was spectacular in that movie...

Movies that everyone should see:

What Dreams May Come
Downfall
The Shawshank Redemption
Elizabeth (well, you don't NEED to see it...but if you want to, go ahead, and then afterwords, you'll know what lines me and my friends quote to each other when we are way drunk)
A Fish Called Wanda

I'm not a movie buff at all (more of a book buff) but these are the films I really love. :D

The Game Plan was great!

Now, I know some folks here are into the art of film and whatnot, but, honestly, I think Dwayne Johnson is a splendid actor who will be a big name for years to come. Give it another 5 years and people won't even remember that his first brush with stardom was as a wrestler.

Gina, watch The Gridiron Gang and compare that to The Game Plan. In The Gridiron Gang, he's working with inner-city youth who have been locked up and teaches them about respect and hard work through football. Definitely not recommended for the youngsters, though, it get's kind of intense.

In addition, he's set up a great foundation to help children - 'Our mission is to EDUCATE, EMPOWER and ENRICH the lives of children worldwide. '.

anything Quentin Tarantino is pretty much guaranteed to get my 7 bucks at the theater.

I think one of my alltime favorite movies ever is True Romance.
