my friend was writing swedish in my notebook the other day, i think he was trying to teach me, his lesson kinda sucked though.
learning to say "i will love you always" (thats his lady killer line) and "i dont speak english" isnt much help if i end up in Sweden.
That useless info asside my german refresher is going well. Does anyone know where to buy tuitional books etc on less commonly learned languages. I mean you cant get one for finnish or dutch etc.

What was he trying to tell you? and was this your way of having a UR confessional?rice_pudding wrote:my friend was writing swedish in my notebook the other day, "i will love you always" and "i dont speak english" .

i dont know what he was trying to achieve, probably trying to make me more of a hit with the ladies or something just a shame i know no swedish ones

It was all harmless fun... i hope

To be honest when we hang out we are a right pair of stoners and a public nuissance (even though we dont take drugs) The swedish lesson took place during a lecture. We spent most of our time drawing dinosaurs and laughing at everyday objects and things.
We watched a sex scene from a foreign romance film film during the lecture. Everyone in the room was tentativly watching and awkwardly not knowing how to respond (you can imagine this familiar scene no doubt) then my friend blurts out "no! he's doing it all wrong!" LMAO
it took a looooooooooooooooooooong time for either of us to regain our composure

I take it your friend is from Sweden?
Anyone here ever thought about learning Swedish for real?
i am considering learning swedish for real, after i work on my german or course. The only problem is tuition is not widely available. If you know of a good website or cd rom etc i would be very thankful.
P.S. anyone ever studied linguistics? i started reading into it last weekend, its very interesting.
Jessica's mother speaks Swedish, her dream was to live there when she was young. She has been loads of times over the years.Alex wrote:
