....consider taking in an abandoned deaf white bitch like Lily?"

Well we went to meet her and although we had thought about getting another dog we weren't looking. She is at the local dog rescue centre and had been found wondering the streets, she's only about 5 months old.

They want us to have her because we are one of the few people to be able to fully train a deaf dog. After 5 minutes we taught her to sit which was a great start. She will cost us more than a dog purchased privatly but I think its good to give an animal that has suffered neglect a new start.

We have had a few visits; first time Lily freaked her out and she got aggressive. Today was much better and we are considering taking her in, what do you all think?

Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

Not very much! at least Lily doesn't, she makes a noise that sounds like 'buff' to warn us of impending danger! normally squirrels and small birds  she knows no fear!

I'd say yes, but only if they get along. Maybe you could take her in for a week to see how things go.

Definitely a candidate for sainthood. I truly appreciate folks who take dogs in. We did years ago and last year had the favor returned when my beloved Ben had to go to another home after biting my little girl (she was digging in his food dish).

Just got word last week he passed away but I am grateful a loving couple pursued him and loved him dearly.

Agreed, Danners. I think you can tell a lot about a person by how they treat animals...not to say non animal lovers are assholes or anything, but people that treat animals with respect and dignity do the same plus more for humans.
Have any of you guys seen Animal Cops on Animal Planet?
God, some of the stories on there break my heart. I literally cry everytime I watch that show. How cruel some people are to their pets is so sad. I saw this one where this pit bull like dog was chained up in the backyard for months and the chain wasn't even long enough for him to stand up fully...he was in a crouching position for that whole time...and the chain dug into his neck and left an opinion wound, not to mention his owners never feed him. It was awful.

Anyhoo, Ian, that dog looks totally beautiful and I'm sure she and Lily will be great friends. :D

Lilly is a lovely looking dog.

Me and Suzie would love to get a sausage dog someday.
