Do You Play Guitar?

Post by Paul Wolfe »

I am wondering how many guitar players there are amongst the members of this board? Would it be helpful to have an area to shar tips and ideas about guitar playing?

I found a cool little site for daily practice ideas at http://www.365practicesessions.com which is kind of helpful when you're not sure what to practice today.

You gotta keep your electric guitars. Acoustic is great but theres so much energy and effect with electric. So long as you don't take up drumming (Trigger ) Then your wrists wont get any worse

So, Guitar Players, would it be helpful to have a section on this board to discuss musical ideas, concepts, questions, etc.? I would like to have a place to discuss playing ideas and questions. I would hope it would be about the music and not about gear, though.

I teach guitar to the next generation of axe slingers. They love the 'flash' that's for sure. Give them some Randy + Eddie and their eyes just light up like a Christmas tree. Zakk was right. It never goes out of style. There's always a generation that will appreciate it. They don't have the maturity to understand it just yet but they do love to try and play it...

Yeah, I play guitar. Or at least try. I know about three chords. One is somewhat advanced (ask Simon) and the other two are super easy open chords. I've been playing since November last year, but I'm taking a break for a while. I got my first guitar for Christmas in 2004 and I barely played it. And then after listening to Tribute last year, I picked it back up, and started "playing" But I'm hoping that things get better. I want a lesson from someone.
