Guess I should introduce myself...
I am a RR fan of 28 years.. had tickets to see him ,, but due to Ozzy's Bat, and Dove head biting deal... My mother wouldnt let me...and Randy would be gone shortly after...(still have my untorn ticket.)
That will forever be with me...I started playing guitar right after I heard "Over the Mountain"..I was hooked..this was at the age of 14...
I am 42 now,, and as big of a RR fan as ever...And still play.. everyday...
I have a few recordings of me covering some of Randy/Ozzy's work..
Each one with its own story behind it.....
Im Glad I found this site,, Im a member of the others as well... along with MLP..
Look forward to hearing the stories, watching the videos.. and hearing the music I didnt get to hear back then,, or until 1987"s Tribute, and then when the Internet came along.... before that.. all I had was Photos, and The albums...(yes ALBUMS).......Thanx for such a wonderful oppertunity ,, and site......Jo-D

Jo-D Welcome to UR you are amongst people of the same age who are RR veterans some of them who managed to see him in concert and some who didn't. That sucks that you couldn't get to that show hey what did we know he was going to be here forever right. I was gutted that Ozzy was due to play 2 gigs in my home town in December '81 one was on Randy's birthday. But then the bombshell happened Ozzy cancelled all the dates for the UK tour apart from 3 dates. So i know what it was like, and that was the last chance i had of seeing him in concert. You've got plenty people here who are into guitars and playing in bands etc Enjoy
