New here!!

Post by Destiny B »

Hey I'm Destiny, I'm new to this site. I'm a huge fan of Randy Rhoads. I kinda need some help? Just with whatever. I am currently trying to get a band together with some friends, and I need some advice. Anyway, Randy rules!

Hello Destiny. :)
Starting a band is always challeging because there is a lot to learn about reaching your goals. If you are serious about the industry you will need to start reading a lot of material on "agreements" with venues, band mates, managers etc... First off, make sure everyone in your band agrees on what kind of music it wants to play. This will help to prevent personal conflicts or creative differences. Next, your band needs to practice together consistently. Do you have a place to get together and practice? Does everyone have their instruments already? Realize of course it takes time to work out and learn songs. The most important quality to have is patience. Friendships can be hurt if there is a lot of bickering over who knows more about playing a certain song. Those are just the tip of the iceberg of course...I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK.
To be a teacher you must never stop learning yourself...
