I just wanted to drop by and say thank you for all the kind words. He was a huge fan of Rhoads as all of you know and made a lot of friends on this site.
Thank you all,
Andrew Jackura
Thanks Andrew for the update.
Dave will be missed here...... Take care to you & your family.
(I changed the title of this thread, I like EA's idea)
After I was contacted by Andrew I asked for a few details about the events leading up to David's sad passing, here is his reply.

Thank you for the sympathy.
My father passed in his sleep from a cardiac arrest. He has had some heart problems in the past but nobody saw this coming. It was a total shock as there was really no indication to this. He has said he wasn't feeling right so he scheduled a appointment for monday but, it was too late.
Thanks again for all the kind words.
Andrew

This is very sad. Dave once told me about his role in setting up the original trade involving the '82 Chicago footage for the '81 Palladium film. A devoted fan, and a very cool guy. Condolences to his family.
Is its possible to get friends from TK who are not members here or don't use UR often to pop here leave condolaces?
I know Dave had many friends from the forums and I would like to get as many condolances as possible to print off and send on to his family. I left a message on the FB RR page but it hasn't resulted in that much response ? that was remarked on by Lambchops but I am sure Lamb' could do more with it!
The online card is also a good idea Matt although do you know how to create one?
I think we owe it to Dave to show how much he will be missed.
What do you think?

Yes online card I think is possible Ian or...
we could send his wife a real card and we could all leave messages and have them printed out into the card and the person elected to hand write the card could speak on behalf of us all
any thoughts anyone?
Having a break from online activity for a while to concentrate on music. Please email if you need to get in touch. Matt
I will call you in the morning to talk about it but it is a lovely idea.

I think a nice way to keep Dave in memory here at UR is to move this thread to the "Welcome & Introduction section" and make it sticky there. I will do that by the end of this week if everybody can agree with it?
