Allow myself to introduce... myself.

Post by Randy Perry »

Ok, so I was asked to introduce myself since I've been away from the Randy Rhoads internet community for so long. It's me, Randy... no, my user name was not an attempt at being clever... 'cause then it failed... miserably. I'd started a web site called The Day The Music Died back in 1996... and it spun way out of control. I lost access to it in whatever month and year is listed on the front page. I'm amazed that it is still online and even more amazed that it seems to still be of some use.

But I made a ton of friends through it... I think I actually might know a bunch of people on this site, I just don't know the user names yet.

Thanks for letting me in.

Welcome Randy,
Great to have you on site and yes your site is still of much use. In fact, I was on it just yesterday reading a number of sections, and its still in the top 10 google hits for Randy Rhoads.
Great to have you here :)

Hey Randy, if you haven't seen it already, check out Matthew's version of Revelation  It's flippin' sweet.

Already heard it! In fact I was telling some friends about it just yesterday. Though I wouldn't catagorize it as "Flippin' sweet", I did refer to it as Wicked Cool. Wonder if he did the entire song?

I have been meaning to comment about how amazing that is for weeks, i wish Randy had played that part on the album as well.

He should quit holding back. I know there's more to that song than he posted. (It's like the extremely long fade out on Tonight.) In fact, I think pro-shot footage of him recording that exists!
