That looks well GOOD!!! it's amazing what you can achieve in just 2 years. I seen them back in 1979 - 80 and didn't get to see them again until 2004 for the thirtieth anniversary tour. Those guys still had that magic and it was probably one of the best gigs ive ever been to Amazing..

Hey 2112 was my first rock song Ritchie! RUSH is BEYOND great. I hope they use footage from that era when the energy was simply insane. I know I'll go see it...

P.S. Hey, I got distracted fighting for the banner.

Spirit of Radio......Bugger, I lost so many braincells headbanging to that song in the 80's....Probably explains a lot.... They were realy the first major progressive group to break into radio as popular music.....

Good old Geddy's voice was stinging to the ears, but was wonderful at the same time; Alex's playing was really the antithesis of what was going on, but so melodic and fitted around the melodies; whilst "Ken", the other one was a cracking drummer...haha

Could I be any more slower on the uptake? I am stoked to learn of this! I first read about it over at rotharmy.
Glad it's being done by the same cats who did the Maiden and Headbanger docs. I'd like to catch this in the theater, but I'll certainly be grabbing the DVD the day it's out...late June, I believe?
Thanks for the heads-up, Ritchie :D

The end of the trailer is priceless:
Interviewer: What is your motivation for doing this after thirty years?
Alex: The chicks...
Totally serious and straight-faced.

Too funny  They, especially Alex, have a really great sense of humor, yet they come off as such a serious band.
They truly are unique, as they've been together for so long, yet there's been no infighting, no substance abuse problems, no ego trips, nothing. They have tremendous dynamic, as they truly are buddies...as well as expert musicians.
When folks say 'underrated guitarist' Alex always pops to mind. If it was ever tough on him that Geddy & Neil got a lot more attention for the mastery of their respective instruments, or that his guitar took a back seat to the synth-driven direction their music took in the eighties, he's never, ever shown it.
Rush is just a class act all around, and rank easily as one of my favorites. 8) 8) 8)
Spending the work day listening to the era of Signals to Presto.
Thanks again for that theater list, Ritchie. A bunch of my FB friends who live elsewhere in New England wanted to know if their state was playing the doc and I was able to help them. 8)

Everything you said Tom was spot on , I see Rush much more than "just a band" these days , they are an inspiration to the chemistry and comaraderie that keeps a band together through thick n thin and my respect keeps growing , they've had the lowest of lows when NP's wife and then daughter passed away .. that right there could have stopped the band permanently .

I was just watching another interview from 2008 and the interviewer talks about getting a set list together with having a back catalogue of so many songs to chose from , he mentions the Rolling Stones and that Mick Jagger sifts through all their songs and compiles the set list , interviewer then asks Geddy & Alex "so how do you guys do it ? " .. Alex replies " we just give Mick Jagger a call " ..... LMAO !!
