Extreme have re formed and cut a new album after over a decade a part.

Although Pornograffiti was a fun album (and a hugely innovative guitar album not to mention their most commercially popular)I loved three Sides To Every Story onwards. Waiting For The Punchline their second to Last Album was recorded mainly live and in a real spit and sawdust way.

It was a rebellian against the sugary sound that they had become to resent so much.

Here is Nuno's exotic Midnight Express

i"ve always enjoyed the man's playing, but his ego got way out of hand for a time in regards to Extreme. It's good to know he finally humbled himself.

Hi Rob

What did you think to the first departure album, 3 Sides To Every Story?

Even though I was aware of it's faults, I think it really showed a band much more than just a commercial rock band.

Waiting For The Punchline hit the right spot for me. I was disappointed that they folded soon after. Saudades Of Rock has just come out and is meant to be just as raw!

I am very keen to hear anyones views of it.

Love Nuno's playing...
I think a lot of my own funky, rythm playing was influenced by him.
Not intentionally, I think I just absorbed the basic elements into my own then realized the connection.

He is a great player... but an even better songwriter.
Ever listen to his solo stuff, there are some very solid tracks.
