Somebody let me hear once a Tribute to Chris cd, it was a Savatage concert with Chris still there. Great stuff!RhoadsOliva wrote:Guys he was definatly the guy next in line to be Randy Rhoads. If you guys want me to post some of his magnificent pieces of works please ask me to!
Is there any Savatage DVD stuff you would recommend featuring Chris Olivia?
The winner of the rat race is still a rat.
I LOVED SAVATAGE BACK IN THE DAY AND STILL DO!!!! Oliva was a fucking genius!!! BEFORE HIS TIME. If you want to post something post this for me.....the video for Hall of the Mountain King. THAT IS MY ALLTIME FAVORITE METAL VIDEO right next to Crazy Train. That song kicks ass and those riffs....those riffs are KILLER!!!! He played with such passion and it really grabbed ahold of me like the first time I heard Randy. He and Alex Skolnick were 2 of my favorites from that time era....R.I.P. C.O.
P.S.
I believe that is the first video ED ROMAN appears in!!

He did thrash-metal with Testament

He did, what I'd like to call progressive rock/metal, with Savatage

He did heavymetal with Ozzy

... and now he has moved onto jazz and playing with TSO from time to time
