Guitar software

Post by Paul Wolfe »

I'm going to try out Riffstation which claims to be able to create jam tracks from your mp3s. The video shows isolating guitar, slowing down with no pitch change, the software providing the chord names...

If it works, it'll be great! I reserve my judgement for a few days.

I tried this thing out and it worked VERY well! As long as the original recording was done decently, this software can isolate very well. I tried it on early Quiet Riot and it didn't go so well because Kevin's voice can't be deleted from the guitar frequencies...everything else I tried it on worked great.

Can't afford it yet so I couldn't save any examples...

The price seems reasonable... looks like a decent software judging from the video.
Will download the Trial version and try it out first.
