This is what it looks like when you visualize hundreds of smartphone user’s movement across Europe as a series of firefly-like blips.
Michael Krell from Crowdflow got 880 iPhone users to participate in a visualization experiment that tracked their movement around Europe. At the end of the month he took all the data, rendered it in a beautiful firefly glow, and created a pretty interesting look at the movement of a crowd of unrelated people in the process.
