No, it isn't Bill Watterson's work, but it's a great emulation. Calvin & Hobbes was/is epic stuff.

A few months ago I listened to great Doc' about Calvin and Hobbes, I can't say I knew the work that well but so many influencial people cited it as an important part of artistic and cultural 20th century history.
I was surprised that its creator refused offers of huge amounts of cash to make a film out of it or to bring it back, that is real integrity.

Very much so, Ian...there is very little he allowed in terms of merchandising and as you've said, he's been offered lots of money, but declined.
Sadly one of the more low class bootlegs are car window decals of Calvin peeing on whatever the meat-head driver dislkies: New York Yankees logo, Ford logo, etc. and C&H was an innocent and delightful strip, anyone who reads these would identify with the children they have, or their younger selves.
