Ultimate Rhoads

So recently i've been doing more, writing my own stuff, and often i comeup withgood riffs andforget them the next day.
So i decided to tab them in guitarpro, but so far ium awful at tabbing, I need some method to get the timings and stuff right.
any advice?

In the old days We had this cool little mechanical device called a portable cassette tape recorder...you put this little loop of tape in it and pushed the record button. It was really cool because you could keep it in your guitar case and record ideas and riff's that you might otherwise forget, then play 'em back at a later time.

Just kidding:) really tho' I did it that way for years. much easier than writing tab.

now called the minidisk . Very simple, and wirable into your amp!

I gotta start keeping up on these things! If we don't watch out, technology passed us old guys right by!!!

But as long as the damn things continue to have six strings...I think I'll be alright.

minidiscs does those things still exist

I have a digital recorder that I use to record ideas... sometimes I even sing a part into the recorder when my guitar isn't handy and work the part out on the guitar later. It's an invaluable tool to keep in your pocket, because you never know when inspiration may strike.

Now THAT's what I'm talkin' about!

As a drummer if I get any ideas I can just beat them out on the nearest flat suface and work new ideas through that way! very simple and easy.

I think he means how to get the timings and such right in like guitar pro or something.


Well, seeing as powertab doesn't care about bars and such, do it rough on there first just to get it down, then work it out properly on guitar pro.
