Re: Wall of amps
That is fantastic! It would also reuduce shipping costs as well because it takes less trucks to move them.

This is a picture of the black metal band Immortal ...I've also heard some rumors of Yngwie doing this same thing, but i'm not exactly sure...

Re: Wall of amps
This was actually quite common. Just about any rock/metal act playing large venues was doing it throughout the 80's/90's... KISS, Van Halen, Dokken, Judas Priest, Motley Crue to name a few. George Lynch, among others, would even have power running to the rocker switches (apparently with 9V batteries) so they'd be lit and all the more authentic looking. It does make the stage a lot more impressive looking!

Yeah, Judas Priest also used empty 1960 Marschall cabs.
One could buy empty Marshall cabs (without speakers) in the past, unfortunately not anymore.

Absolutely true! KISS often spoke of how they did that at first to look like they were a headlining band.Whipper wrote:Just about any rock/metal act playing large venues was doing it throughout the 80's/90's... KISS, Van Halen, Dokken, Judas Priest, Motley Crue to name a few.
