man i just read this!!that guys has cojones the size of a city!!!!!!and the things he came across and eating piranhas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!loco!!!!!i respect this guy totally thanks alex!!!!

I think this was the first time the route was walked prior to this I think it had been walked and sailed where streches of the River presented obsticles.
He had believed it would take him a year and his partner on the walk agreed to walk for the first 2 weeks but stayed on until they reached the end, because he is British the news here has concentrated on him as the only person to have managed the walk and seems to have overlooked the man from Peru who was there with him every step of the way.

I didn't see anything in the articles explaining why they started this. Just because it hadn't ever been done or to raise awareness to a cause?

I just discovered that the British man who completed this walk if from the same city as me!!!! which means we walked the amazon first, invented the Jet engine here, built the first ever plane that could fly pre the Wright Brothers and was the birth place of the Elephant Man!! the first to are impesive but the last one wass just scraping the bottom of the barrel :lol:
