Although I was more of an Ozzy fan than a Dio fan, I still loved Dio's songs!

I just can't believe he's gone to Cancer of all things...

One of the best metal singers ever, a sad loss, glad I got to see him again a couple of years ago with Heaven and Hell, brilliant singer. Life's not fair.

Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever.

so sad! along with Ozzy he was a legend in this type of rock I saw him when I was younger and loved what I saw, sadly it ends a long career for many bands that he worked with but even sadder for me it is the end of what was a huge part of Black Sabbath.

Rest in Peice Ronnie you are a real legend and had the most amazing metal voice of them all.

What a crying shame and such a lovely person.. i was hoping that he would pull through . I'm blasting out H&H Live at Radio City in tribute to one the greatest singers ever. RIP mate.

RIP Ronnie; To me he was a was a rare metal singer like Bruce Dickinson and early Ozzy in that not only did he sound unique but had an an amazing voice tooxxx
