That's a shame you can't watch it No , Joe was sayin that about 5 - 6 months before RR's accident that Rainbow were in Memphis and their regular bus driver was taking some time off , so the bus company sent a new driver out to take over . When Ritchie Blackmore saw this new driver , Ritchie said he could see a "black aura" surrounding the new driver and insisted that the new guy did'nt drive for them . As it turns out that new guy was Andrew Ayecock ! then the accident happened 5-6 months later etc etc etc

Joe Lynn Turner-Singer of Rainbow (1980-1984)

Joe: We were out on the road, and we were changing, here in the United States, changing tour buses and our regular driver Bill Miller was going on vacation, and it’s a very, you have to trust your bus driver as you know in the sense of Metallica when the bus turned over and all that. You really, you can’t sleep if you don’t rust your driver. So Bill Miller, we trusted implicitly and he was our driver, we felt safe with him. Ritchie (Blackmore) and I came out of the hotel in Memphis Tenn , it was Memphis yes, and uhh we saw the new driver and Ritchie looked at me and said, “Do you see his black aura?” and I said “Yeah!” you know cause we were doing that type of thing (reading people’s Aura) then. Audience: Laughing…

Joe: Oh God here we go! And uhh he said. “That’s it I don’t want this guy driving the bus O.K." and we got Bill Miller back and we paid all kinds of money to Bill Miller to drive the bus. And He postponed his vacation. Well, that driver was the same guy, he was also a pilot, a small pilot. He was the one who flew the plane with Randy in it.

Interviewer: Wow… wow…

Joe: O.K. O.K. That’s pretty deep. I’m still getting chill-bumps from that.

Interviewer: Was it a couple of years (before)?

Joe: No! It was like 6 or 7 months or something..

Interviewer and Audience: Woah…Wow…Wow…

Joe: And Don Airey… he was taking pictures of it, and you’ve got to give Don credit, cause he never released those pictures, of the plane swooping in front of Florida Coach and all that, until this guy hit the top of the building and that was it. So that is pretty crazy stuff.

Interviewer: And according to Rudy Sarzo, Rudy wrote in the book that the guy…did it on purpose.

Joe: He killed himself you mean?

Interviewer: That’s what Rudy was saying you know. That’s Rudy’s theory. Cause Rudy was on the bus at the time.

Joe: I just think the guy was just dark and dangerous and Ritchie saw that.

Why wouldn't they air something like that when Joe was originally on? Probably because the show is a half hour. I know the next season is gonna be a full hour.But I mean that's heavy news he just told how does that hit the editors floor? Thanks for sharing I missed that episode and my brother told me about it and been meaning to watch. That's crazy.
