Help please?

Post by Supernaut »

I got some GCSE modelling coursework to do. Basically I'm making a model for choosing a custom guitar. I need, therefore, the prices for certain guitar parts (as you choose them and then it adds up the price at the end) but I don't really know them

can anyone give me a few examples of the next few components and an estimate price in £?

Neck
Pickups
Trem
Paints

I know the general price for strings, but I need a few brands.

Thanks a lot!

Seymour Duncan pickups are around £60

They are on http://www.gak.co.uk if you want to be more specific.

There's a Jackson style neck, the only place I know you can get them is ebay. That one converts to £50.74.

That's a fender style wang bar, £45. Left handed though but still, it gives you an idea of the price.

That's one of those hideous Bigsby style trems, £69.61.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WILKINSON-TREMOLO ... dZViewItem

A Wilkinson tremolo, £59

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/floyd-rose-low-pr ... dZViewItem

And a floyd rose, £109.99

Sorry for all of that but I dunno what kind you're looking for.

I don't know what paints are used on guitars.

Some string brands are, GHS-£3.99, Rotosound-£5.95. I don't know the bass prices, they're really expensive.

That's cool that you're doing custom guitar, in D.T I'm making a super custom..............drum stick holder... ahh well, the thought of anything guitar related didn't come into my head at the time.

I could if i looked around enough get a good neck for under £200 but that is for a really good one.

A nailbomb, made by Bare Nuckle Pickup Brothers is around £100 but they are handmade and spun by hand!

A Floyd Rose trem can range depending on what model. An ibanez low pro edge is around £200
