Well, it should be. I hope that means you'rs going to submit a solo to a Stetina track and enter!!!

Not that it is a qualifier to win by any means, but I think it would be so cool to hear all these Randy inspired guitarist from this board playing original solos in Randy's style.

I was really surprised all the Randy inspired guitarists on the board haven't jumped all over this,.... but oddly things are pretty quite here.

Perhaps it is because I put the post in "Off Topic", as I figured "Off Topic" was the right place for it, but I just hope that all the other guitarists on here find the announcement in time to submit their solos before the Oct 31st deadline.

Maybe I should have picked an RR3 in white w/black pin stripes and gold hardware, instead of the "workhorse" DXMG,..... maybe that would have interested more guitarists from this board.

Well, we will see who turns out a solo from here by the deadline,... I would pretty much bank on Matt laying one down in the name of Randy.

Hi Jimmy

It sounds great and a cool prize too. Unfortunately I am too busy with teaching and other music projects to contribute something. I haven't got time to move at the moment. (I am the guitarist in Little Shop Of Horrors soon too LOL)

On the forum of the people who post regularly there are some great rock guitarists. Elliot (Wareagle) is a brilliant up and coming player, Mike Lowery just writes and plays the most solid passages and has a really honed technique while dark horses like Patrick and Joe (Flying Dutchman and Skezza) I know could do something so awesome. Patrick did a track for the cd project called Out The Blue which was so good I actually laughed when I heard it LMAO!! Big P, a mod here, is a big Rhoads student and shows lots of Rhoads-isms in his playing. Also Randy Chambers is a well known Rhoads player who I bet could lift his hat to RR on something like this!!

There are loads of people too who are just shy about posting.
Lets keep bumping this thread up.

cheers

Matt

Matt! how goes it! I new you'd poke your head out soon enough LOL! Well, let's hope they aren't too shy, and we see plenty of showings from the "internet home team" flying the Randy flag high again.

Glad to hear you are so busy, but bummed you don't have time to knock out 24 bars, though I completely understand. But the truth is actually this contest is for guys from the States only, but International is coming,... and no that is not a jinx that your play closes early, just so I can hear you do your thing LOL!
