WHEW!
What a day! The weather people kept saying that it was going to rain, but it held out just in time.
It was overcast most of the day, and even tho I put some sunscreen on, I still got the back of my legs burned, shoulders and face. NICE!
Here are some pictures and a little video of the day. I'll post up some of Mike's pictures a little later in the thread.

This is a float that our late Sheriff Harry Lee always rode on. It is called "Harryleesiana" Even tho he has passed away, the tradition will continue.

Here are a few little videos. In one of them, I catch a "moonpie". It is a type of cookie with marshmello inside. In another, one of the trucks blows its horn. You can hear the yelling of "heeeeyyyyyy". I really don't know a single person who says "throw me something, mister". That just takes to long to say. So "heeeeeeyyyyyy" is your typical yell.

The only parade we still have is the 'Gay pride' parade. We did have a Caribbean carnival but that was canceled due to budget cuts 2 years ago.

Sarab, these are great pictures. Has the parade got its roots in the French past?
