My goals for 2008 include:

1. Find Employment

3. Find a way to curb my anger and find calm, mature ways to deal with anything that arises

4. No more alcohol (until I win the lottery)

ah thanks
I wish more people felt that :D I sometimes wonder, when I do a recital, and I have put flyers up, and advertised for a couple of months in advance, and 50 people show up if I am doing things right.

I listen to the solos here, you tube and the massive amount of talent out there on myspace and it just astounds me! I realised when I went back to University and saw the guys coming through who were younger than me and also the lecturers, who were older than me that I know enough to do my job...but have ALOT more to learn to reach my goal!!

Anyway...
Axel is dragging his heals and keeps interupting my Classical Guitar recordings and means I can't get it right! So Chinese Democracy will be a bit longer. LOL

Matt

ps

Another 2 resolutions are top cut down swearing in general and completely cut out the c word and also to stop calling my 6 foot 4" friend Buzz lightyear ...he said he finds it so offensive he would rather I would call him the word I am not going to ever say again because Buzz is a cartoon character....

he does look like him though :D :D

...Unfortunately we live in an era of 'X-Factor' - musical talent is no longer considered part of the 'package'...
We've all done the 10 people and a dog type gig - I find it hurts most when the dog leaves early!!!  (Obviously didnt enjoy our version of 'Bark at the Moon'!!!) I know it doesnt pay the bills but I guess that's what 'suffering for your art' means??!! Philosophically speaking I have always firmly believed that there's an audience out there - we just have to find it...
On a lighter note, are you familiar with the works of Gordon Giltrap?
