Our collection is well over a 1300 DVD's and it is growing. So movies along with music are my life.
I have many favourites but one that I have very high regard for is the film Contact, with Jodie Foster. Here is a clip

I find it strangely moving and it has bought me to tears before

i'd probably say my all time favourite is Dawn Of the Dead (the original) but when i was a kid it was The Magnificent Seven, i must've watched that film 25 times, that and chitty chitty bang bang
so does anyone here watch foreign language films or arthouse stuff?

That is a superb film. David Helfgott was on a radio show and he was remarkably similiarly portrayed by Geoffrey Rush. I thought that David was really autistic in his behaviour too.The Flying Dutchman wrote:That's a favorite of mine as well, not many people know that movie.Trigger wrote:Shine

Speaking of autism, Bob Hoskins is to star in a film as a person suffering from Aspergers SyndromeMatthew wrote:That is a superb film.
