So I bid on eBay on one of those drum machines I was interested in. The current high bid is $17.50 and I'm winning! Woo Hoo! However the reserve has not been met. Sounds like I'm not gonna win, right?
So the seller emails me tonight with 11 hours left and says, "If you win the shipping is $100 dollars".
I've contacted eBay that he's ripping me off and I WILL NOT PAY. I let him know the same thing. I'm curious to see what comes of it. Bad comment on my record? Who cares.

The only thing that I can think of why it would be so much, is the weight of the product that dicates the freight charge. Reason being, is where I work and we special order parts for customers. The charges are depending on how much the part weighs, and how quick they want it. The heavier the part, the more freight charges are. It is a shame that you are paying so little for the thing, but the freight is so much. Believe me, I hear it all day long.

I wouldnt bother with post with anything electrical dude, just keep an eye out in your instrument stores over there, I got a Dr Rhythm years ago dirt cheap and still serves me well.
