Ozzy Concept Album

A concept album can either be great or unforgiveable depending on the direction it takes. I would like for Ozzy to make a concept album based after his rather diverse musical outings. With different guitarists approaching each record from a different point of view I would like to see an album that tried to tie his career together in some way. Some day I'll put my idea up on this site and get your feedback...

Sounds like a good idea, it'd probably work but Ozzy would need a lot of help from other writers. Any idea whats happening with the proposed Rhasputin album, I haven't heard anything for ages.

Agreed.

What is interesting is when an album has a conceptual thread running through it but it isn't presented as a "concept" album. I recently read about Judas Priest's British Steel record which was released in 1980. Apparently all of the songs on this record were spawned from the British "Winter of Discontent" during which there were many labor strikes including a 15 week steel workers strike. I have been listening to that record since 1980 and only recently have I known about the "concept" behind it. If you listen to it with this information in mind, it is amazing how different it comes across.
