Ultimate Rhoads

It seems like half the time I write out a long new topic for this board, I get "no post mode specified" and cannot post. All the time and effort put into a post is wasted and it's highly annoying.

me too. I always figured that it wasn't meant for me to post.

i think it has something to do with word filtering.

Yeah, it is a word filtering thing, Joe and I discussed it a while back, but I can't figure out what is being filtered. The most recent post was about CC Deville, the one before was about the historical significance of March 19th, and before that it was how to install a floyd rose trem... totally different subjects, none of which could be posted!

And, yeah, I do copy them so I can try again later, but the one about March 19th I tried on 6 seperate attempts over 3 weeks, so I gave up and chose to complain instead

That's happened to me on a couple of occasions. That's why I usually give links rather than rewrite everything (i.e., an interview)...

Me too! I can't agree more Rocky, I have started saving messages (like Darin said) then try to work out what has filtered!

Now that i can see that you are as pissed off as me I will chat with skezza to see if we can't find some kind of solution.
Twice last week I wrote long responses that were wiped before I could save them . I think that was a blessing for the members though

Its often the longer responses that get caught up in this word filter, and trust me, we are trying to get rid of it, and we will do it in the future. I assure you!

It is the word filter placed on this site to 'benefit' the webmasters. All I can say is, copy them into notepad for now. I AM working on a patch which, under No Post Specified will display the post you made itself. And another patch i am working on should cache the post, so you can click back and it will be there . I am working on a few things. Sorry they are taking so long

Joe, you've done a marvelous job withthis site. Whenever this little thing gets fixed will be soon enough. I was simply voicing frustration because I spent a lot of time writing out what was on my mind and could not share it. In the grand scheme it really is a trivial issue.

Keep doing what you're doing, because I think this place is becoming a nice little community.

I just had a post denied and the only thing I mentioned was Mrs. Rhoads and Randy's guitars and it was only a one sentence post!

This glitch makes me just want to quit posting altogether.

Yeah and those damn advertising banners are still pissing me off. I have to click them away whenever i refresh the page and I usually leave the board..in fact one has just come up while I was typing this.
cheap and nasty. i don't get this on any other boards.
Mr Rhoads deserves better.

I can't say much about problems we sometimes get when posting certain words because I find it very strange and almost random in it's selection.
The adverts are beyond our control and we don't earn anything by them showing up on site, I understand that it is to do with the hosting soite. I know that a few weeks ago Joe sorted a new site-style and alternative hosting that could not be used by on screen advertisers, perhaps Joe can switch it on for us
