hmmm, how do I describe it? It is round or oval, depending on how big it
is. Kinda like a coffee cake, if you will. It can be a plain cake or it can have fillings, such as cream cheese, cream cheese with strawberry; apple filling, etc. The top of the cakes are sprinkled with purple, green and gold sugar (Mardi Gras colors), and inside of the cake, there is a small, plastic baby hidden inside. And yes, there IS a warning on the box about a plastic baby being inside. Anyway, the person who "gets" the baby, must buy the next king cake. I think I will skip this year of king cake eating, as it will send me backward in my diet.
There are several bakeries in the area and people around tell you which one is the best, as each of them have different textures, and tastes of the cakes.

Mardi Gras time can be a pain in ass, though, skezza.
The only reason I don't flee during this time is because of the girls,
as they enjoy going to the parades, catching the throws. Me, it's just another excuse to drink excessively, and the hassle of finding the
