Here I Am
It only took me three years to contribute to this thread. Better late than never. This is me at a Michael Schenker signing. He was super cool and signed my gutar. I think it even inspired one of his custom guitars which he put on display at the NAMM show. What do you think?

Its great to be able to put a face to a name, Schenker is looking so much older these days. I was never a huge fan of his and you forget that he was a huge name when you were growing up! almost 30 years ago.
Al that considered he looks great although in that shot he looks like David Soul.

A nice early Christmas present for me Michael Schenker is playing in my home town Newcastle 22nd December. I see he is with original members of MSG Gary Barden and Chris Glen with power house drummer Chris Slade. Check his web site for other UK dates and he may be playing near you. I'm looking forward to this one...

Should be good Shaun, that line-up brings back some great memories. I remember seeing 'em back in September 1980 at Sheffield City Hall, the late great Cozy powell was on drums though, great concert. The thing that stood out for me though was not Shenker, as good as he was, but Gary Barden, what a great singer.GUITARIDOL5682 wrote:A nice early Christmas present for me Michael Schenker is playing in my home town Newcastle 22nd December. I remember the time when Graham Bonnett took over the front man duties with MSG. I was never a fan of his look etc. A good singer but he never had the Hard Rock image. But what was a great surprise was when MSG appeared on stage at the 1982 Reading Rock Fest. Everyone was expecting Graham to come out and Gary Barden came running out to a truely welcomed cheer..Fozzy41 wrote:Should be good Shaun, that line-up brings back some great memories. This is me with my hero Carlos Bonell after a lesson with him last week. I have learned so much with this man. He is kind and patient and a great coach!
By the way I have a tie on because I have come straight from work. LOL his lessons don't have a dress code!
