Yeah Frank your right, the last 5 or 6 miles are definitely harder than the first 20, there's just nothing left in the tank, absolutely gone last time I did it. This year I'll be staying off the beer all weekend. Did Great North Run a few years ago Shaun, that's a half marathon, 13 miles. Had a good night out in Newcastle afterwards, there's some very friendly women up there mate.

Well, I enjoy listening to alot of music and playing video games. I play alot of video games to be honest. I have over 110 games combined for all the systems I have. It's fun.

Marathon was great. Had a really good weekend. Did the usual sightseeing thing on the Saturday, and went for a fantastic meal in the west end of London on Saturday night, just drinking orange juice, kept well away from any alchohol, boring I know but it had to be done. Sunday was a scorcher, too warm for running really, but good for spectatores. Great atmosphere with over 30,000 runners of all abilities taking part. Set off nice and steady at about 8min per mile pace, felt good up to about 18 mile, really enjoyed it up to then, great atmosphere, disco's and bands playing along the route, (sadly no Randy stuff though ha, ha,) Good job I covered myself in sun lotion, my head would have been frazzled. After 18 mile it got tough, managed to keep the pace going until about 22 mile, remember passing Tower of London on the cobbles and thinking I'm not gonna make it. I couldn't believe how in the space of a few miles I'd gone from feeling great to feeling shit. Really struggling by 24, just managing to keep moving but I was determined not to walk. At 25 mile I thought only 1 mile to go, c'mon nearly there, and when I saw Buckingham Palace with about half a mile to go something just kicked in and I galloped towards the line, god knows where I got that last bit of energy from, but I sprinted over the line and promptly collapsed, absolutely fucked. But what a feeling, couldn't believe I'd done it without walking. Once I'd stopped and been given my medal I couln't hardly walk, my whole body had seized up, but I could'nt care less, I'd rean the whole way, briliant. Finished it in 3hrs 36minutes. Was hoping to break 3 and a half hours but I'm still pleased with time.As I write this three days later I'm still stiff as a board, could hardly walk down the stairs the following day, but hopefull I'll be alright by end of the week. Fanatstic experience overall, loved it. Might do it again next year, but hopefully train a bit more, we'll see.

I like Motocross, playing with daughter, hanging with my wife and child, making noise on my guitar, watching movies and having a few cocktails with my buddies once in a while.
