If it was then soldiers would use cars instead of guns to kill.

Someone who is deranged and set on killing people will
find a way to do it guns or no guns. If guns were outlawed
they could simply make pipe bombs or other more deadly options.
I'm afraid that if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have them.

I wish I knew the answers.

I agree with Yoda though when he says you only need what you take with you.

If you carry a weapon I believe it changes everything about you in a very subtle way...not so subtle that other people who are baddies can't pick up it though and challenge you.

I love walking around just armed with nothing more than my watch, money and a plectrum

A girl I go to school with was mugged not too long ago while walking back to her apartment. While I don't know if I'll ever own a gun, I will def. own a huge, hungry German Shepherd. I love big dogs. They've always made me feel safe.

Police search for LSU shooting suspects By MELINDA DESLATTE, Associated Press Writer
1 hour, 19 minutes ago

Police searched for suspects Friday in the shooting deaths of two Louisiana State University students, and unlike other schools in the wake of the Virginia Tech massacre, the school decided against locking down the campus.

Police patrols were increased on the 28,000-student campus, and students were urged to be cautious as they wrapped up final exams and headed home for the holiday break. But LSU Chancellor Sean O'Keefe said police chose not to blockade the campus or reschedule the tests after determining the two doctoral candidates from India were slain in an isolated home invasion.

The victims were found late Thursday after being shot in the head inside an apartment complex for married and graduate students. One was tied up with a computer cable. The killings were the first on campus in more than a decade.

The suspects remain at large.
