Had A Nice Guitar Dream Last Night!

Post by Cpt Matt Sparrow »

I dreamt last night that I was staying near the sea side and my parents were in a near by hotel and on leaving the beach one day I heard (in the day time) loud club type music coming from a corner building.

Next to it was an old shed. In it were loads of broken and injured guitars. but they were not cheap ones, there was a Kramer Van Halen one that needed a new tremolo unit, a Django one with a bit of repair needed and loads of Fender Strats and Teles that were battered as they looked though they had been hung on the wall of the club next door.

Anyway I found out that the club were unaware of the value of them and had just dumped them there after ripping them off their walls.

The dilema I woke up with, until I realsed it was a dream, was they are going to be scrapped anyway and had been abused, was it morally right to liberate (okay Shaun to nick LOL) one.

I have only had one guitar dream. This was maybe when I was 16 or so. I dreamt that my father took me to the make Gibson factory in Nashville and was all "pick any guitar you want!" (So out of character for my old man, hahaha!)
Randomly, I chose a lime green Les Paul Custom with a floyd rose. In hindsight, it was kind of ugly in my dreams. God knows why I wanted it!

Matt it would of been liberated as in the lot gone no second thoughts if that had been for real..A similar story of liberation happened to me a few years back. I was in a bar in town and it was being revamped decorated etc. I got talking to one of the guys who was doing the contract. The bar of old, was a themed pub and it had music memorabilia hanging on the walls. Guitars, framed albums signed stuff etc. One item i had my eye on was a multi platinum album award presented to Brian Johnson 'local heroe' from the sales of Back In Black. So i mentioned to the guy what happened to the framed platinum award. He told me it was out back and i said to him if i give you £80 for it would he turn a blind eye while i carry it out the bar. He went away and on his return he was the bearer of sad news. Someone had already done like wise and it was gone. The guy was f***ing cursing to say the least. I just wonder where did it go,it would of been a cool thing to have on the wall.
I have a dream that i'm up on stage with a band and i'm playing to a large crowd. I'm on guitar and i'm saying to the guys on stage "but i don't play i'm just an 'air' guitarist". The band just tell me to pull some shapes and go with the flow. As the band strikes up and gets into the groove i'm saying to myself go on go for the solo. I manage to pull it off and the crowd go WILD..Then i look down and the guitar is gone, it was just an air guitar solo SHIT...Weird dreams, cheese before bed time.

Speaking of dream guitars, well sorta - is there a post here of UR members that have and/or post pics of their Jackson Rhoads guitars?

Hi Ruben

That is a lovel name by the way...
Certainly of the active posters, I think Craig (Zakk Daniels), is the only member who owns any RR guitars.
I may be wrong though,

Nicole,
Great dream but strange guitar you choose LOL...forgivable in a dream! :)

Shaun,
That sounded just like my dream!!

Cheers and have a great weekend

Alex wrote:I've had one Randy dream. It was at the time very vivid, and I could have sworn that I actually had been there when I woke up, but I can't remember much from it now. All I remember is being at the back of stage, plugging in Randy's guitar cord into the amp. I believe he was playing a Fender guitar too, for some reason
Interesting dream Alex (I love being Sigmund Sear too stroking my beard) :)
