Almost done. Waiting on tremolo inserts for my original Floyd Rose and soon I will change my black pickups for
white ones. Sorry the pics are sideways. Posted from a Kindle Fire and they're upright in my gallery but I cant figure out how to rotate for the upload...

Thanx... would you believe I have less than $200 cash tied up in it and that is including the paint job?

I wouldn't believe it, how did you manage that? It's a sweet looking axe dude. Did you do the headstock yourself? I love the vintage Jackson logo just the ones on Randy's guitars! Yeah, the white/creme coloured pups will go great with this.

Well for starters I received the guitar itself as trade for a tattoo that I did for a friend of mine. I did a big back piece that the price was equivalent to what the guitar was worth (about $800.) Originally the paint from the factory was trans blue. As far as the PDV facelift goes... I did all prepping and graphics. Disassembly, sanding etc. I had another friend supply me with nickel sized polkadot stickers from a vinyl sign shop (for masking) along with the Jackson logo which I freehanded and sized it for him. (The logo is under the clearcoat.) Those polkadots were measured and placed one by one. That took a minute...actually several hours. Lastly I had an aquaintence that owns an auto body shop that I met through the tat shop where I work shoot white, then black and then clear. And he only charged me $65!!! Mainly because I did all the other work. The other money I have in it is an original Floyd I picked up on ebay for $110. And there you have it... a DIY Jackson KV4 PDV. Thanx for showing interest... I'm very proud of it!

One last look. A closeup of the finish. The guy that painted it knocked it out of the park. Look at that clearcoat. And this is the first guitar he has ever painted... cheers to Bronson's Body Shop!

I just picked up an old Flying V that I was thinking about doing something like this to. Not sure I want to now this would put me to shame!

Cool... thanks for the props! But ya know if you actually have a Gibson style v that would be closer to the Sandoval replica than my Jackson is... mine is kind of a hybrid between the pdv and the Concorde... wish I woulda had a Gibson style to work with. Go for it dude! A little elbow grease patience and determination and you can have one. Like I said... I got virtually nuthin in the paint job... its who you know.
