Fernandes Rhoads (need help)

Hey everyone,
This is my first post here and I just want to thank everyone in advance. This Fernandes came with some other gear that I bought, and I've been having a hard time finding out the exact model. This seems like the place to come to figure out what this actually is. I've found just a bit of info online and it seems that this is a rare model not made for long. It has Schaller tuners and bridge. Anyone know what the fancy spring in the trem system is? Here's a link to some pics.
