Can anyone verify a signature?

Hi all

I picked up a CSL Les Paul copy from late 70's. The signature looks very fake and I didn't pay any extra for the guitar but before I try and remove it I thought it would be wise to double check!

Very suspicious and not a single sign of Randy's style.. '81 is that the year ??. I've never seen a RR signature with the year next to his name. I think you need some mild paint thinner white spirit on a soft cloth just keep rubbing gently and it should leave no signs of the ink. Enjoy your guitar Rob
