Ultimate Rhoads

So I was cleaning out some cupboards today, when this Picture came flying out from between two books. I had totally forgotten about this but remembered I got it a few years ago from a nice chap on ebay.

The story is that I bought an Ozzy 1981 Tour T-shirt from him, used obviously, and it was the one he bought at the concert. When I won the Auction, we got chatting about Ozzy and Randy through e-mails and he said he would also put in a picture he took at the concert as a little bonus. The concert he said he attended was the 1981-11-30 - Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, Wales show. One of only two Diary shows in the UK. So as far as I'm aware this will probably be new. Not the Greatest picture ever but the guy did have a good spot! I thought it'd be worth sharing none the less.

Thats a new one for this forum, do you still have the guys contact details as i'm sure if he took the photo he'd have others. The clothes Ozzy has on is a good indication that the date of the gig is correct. I've seen a few other photos from that show but this is one of the better pics. Nice find and cheers for posting it up. Any chance you could send me a scan of the photo for my collection..?

Hey Shaun, I remember after receiving the picture that I tried just that and never got a response from him. Either he wasn't interested, didn't have anymore or just forgot to reply. I'll have to dig through older e-mails to see if I still have his details.

Good to see these old pics dinomite, and thanks for the link Shaun. I shoulda been seeing the band a few days after these pics were taken, in Leeds but the tour got pulled. I see Ozzy had ditched his tassled tops by this time. This looks like the transition period between US Tour of '81 and the full blown Diary Tour of '82, by which time Ozzy had changed his image dramatically (for the worse IMO) for the blond hair, heavy eye-liner and chainmail.
