I’ll start with Randy’s early childhood. When he first started to play the guitar he was just about six and a half. He found an old acoustic guitar in the house that belonged to my father and he picked it up and he never put it down again for the rest of his short life. He just loved the guitar. So fortunately because I have a music school, I suggested that he start lessons, which he wanted to, of course and my daughter also started right at the same time. They were just about seven and eight and a half at that time. My daughter was about a year and a half older than Randy. So, they started taking lessons. In those days, way back then, they uh, called it folk guitar, where the student would learn a few chords and then learn to play a pop tune that was current for the day and then go on to another one and learn another few chords.

Well, that didn’t last too long with Randy, he wanted more than that. So, he came and said “Mom I really want to take electric guitar.â€Â
