This is another ticket which was originaly dated 14th October 1980 the ticket has been altered and the gig happened on 31st October. I don't know why the date was changed as the tour schedule shows a gap at this time ?. Another Ozzy under the influence cancellation ?.

This is a show that made it into the trading circles so it is easy to verify.
Good work Shaun is this from your collection?

There is a (well known) picture of Randy sitting on a sofa, playing guitar with his other guitars behind him. In the background, there are also his flycases, one of them featuring a French flag sticker...

From these archives, I would not know anything of Ozzy/Randy touring in France. I mentioned this to my elder brother who responded he once met a guy who told him he saw them playing in Reims in 1981.

A quick search on the net brought us the following, which should help complete the list. Note that, considering how big a city Reims represents, chances are good that it was not the only show in France...

I actually found 3 dates in France:

21 November 1981 Strasbourg Hall Renus
22 November 1981 Paris
23 November 1981 Reims Palais des Sports

All seemed to have been cancelled... I had confirmation that the Paris one been definitivelly cancelled. Note that Ozzy was not headliner but support act for saxon!!!

See my tour date page:

In the doc. trailer, doesn't it say that Quiet Riot opened for the Run Away's? I don't see that on the list...maybe I missed it? Anybody else?

I found my Saxon 1981 'Denim & Leather' tour programme and it mentions the places they toured but no dates.

Brussels: Foret Nationale
Amsterdam: Edenhalle
Essen: Grugahalle
Bremen: Stadthalle
Kiel: Ostee Halle
Hannover: Eilenriede Halle
Hamburg: Ernst-Merck Halle
Wolfsburg: Stadthalle
Cologne: Sporthalle
Offenbach: Stadthalle
Saarbruecken: Saarland Halle
Karlsruhe: Schwarzwald Halle
Ravensburg: Oberschwaben Halle
Stuttgart: Sporthalle Boblingen
Nuremberg: Hemerlein Halle
Munich: Rudi-Sedlmayer
Heidelburg: Rhein Neckar Halle
Dortmund: Westfalen Halle
Wurzburg: Kurnachtal Halle
Geneva: Pavillion Sports Champel
Strasborg: Tivoli
Paris: Hippodrome
Lille:
Basel: St Jacob's Hall
Turin
Milan
Genoa
Bologna
Udine
Padova
Rome
That list is long and i don't think Ozzy did the Italy tour. So we are missing alot of dates, they could of been cancelled. But how many ? We are looking at Holland Germany Belgium Switzerland & France.

I grew up only two blocks from Glendale College. Unfortunately I was only 8 years old at the time of this show, and didn't follow Randy's music until a few years later. Can you imagine seeing Randy AND Eddie on the same stage in 1977, before they were famous?

Yeah Dave the way Rock memorabilia is taking off with collectors this ticket stub is probably worth about $50 now. I'm still doing my best to try and collect all the ticket stubs from all the Ozzy UK 1980 - 81 shows. I only have about 9 shows to collect and i have the lot, but these have become more desirable and more valuable over the last couple of years. You could pick these up for a couple pounds at one time. Now the rarer earlier tickets are going for big bucks. It's hard to think that these little pieces of paper are worth more then the face value of the ticket now.

Thanks for this list, it the best I've seen yet.

I do have a comment though, because I saw Ozzy with Randy twice in Springfield MA. Once on the first leg before the LP was released in the US, and then a second time after the release of BOO. I only see the first one listed here.

Any ideas on when the second Springfield MA gig might have been? Sorry I dont remember the dates.

Ugh! Makes me sick how often Randy was in my neck of the woods back in the day and I wasn't able to go (I was only 10). first leg of blizzard tour alone...a pair of nyc shows @ the palladium in may and then out on long island at the coliseum in august! I'm not going to mention the other places/dates in northeast that could have been easily travelled!
